Parker saying one of his favorite answers to a question above - “I don’t fink (think) so…”. Ridiculously cute.

Aunt Cat again - I just got to spend a week up in Nashville with my family and help out while Amy my sister is in the hospital with Evan (finishing a third week in PICU and now a regular bed with viral pheumonia) and while my parents are at work. So I mostly got to babysit the ‘main man’ when he wasn’t in preschool - the one and only Mr. P.

Parker is a really great kid - super amicable, plays well with others, incredibly smart, and doesn’t get into too much trouble for a two year old. He’s doing great with ‘mommy’ being in the hospital with the little brother he barely knows. Honestly, I still don’t think that he understands that Evan is for keeps.

As you all know, I’m not the hugest fan of kids in general, but that one is a winner. Uncontested.

Here he is playing with his dinosaurs. Pictured are ‘the mean one’ and ‘the scary one’. I think ‘the good one’ (a pink brontosaurus) is still recovering from running around the house with Parker…

And finally, one blooper/outtake/this-is-how-he-looks-most-of-the-time shot:

Evan

Aunt Cat here!

Not too long ago I posted about my new nephew - Evan David Martin. The poor little guy did pretty good for the first two weeks or so of life and then caught viral pneumonia. :(

He’s been in the Pediatric ICU for almost three weeks now and finally seems to be getting better. He’s been moved to a regular room in the last few days and the doctors hope that he might get discharged sometime next week. He’s still plugged up to oxygen and a feeding tube and a bunch of other wires and such to monitor everything. He seems to be out of the woods though! (Sorry for the rough picture - I took it with my computer camera…)

I’ve spent the week up here hanging out with her other son Parker - who has been dealing really well with Amy being gone to the hospital all the time.

Please be praying for him!

Sports Fan

Notice the socks. GO DAWGS! I'm startin' my boys off right.

Little Man

Parker was sick with a cold and stomach bug this past weekend. Here he was sitting in his recliner watching Disney's The Jungle Book when he fell asleep. All he needs is his remote, right, to look like a real man. What a cutie!

Fun times!

Parker and Micah are having a blast in an inflatable firetruck that is full of balls. It is kind of like the ball pits that you can jump in at Chucky Cheeses only it is a firetruck that you can drive. Parker is driving to the fire and lovin it. Micah is anxiously awaiting his turn to drive. :)

Generations

The wonderful man in this picture is my granpa (Mom's dad), David William Terrill. Evan, who is two weeks old, was named after granpa and I gave that to him for Christmas this past year. His full name is Evan David Martin. Granpa is 75 and this is his first grandchild to take on his name. It is pretty special to me! Here is granpa meeting his namesake...he loved holding him.

Splish Splash

Parker loves bathtime. This past weekend I was at Target and saw these foam numbers and letters and thought Parker would enjoy playing with them in the tub. Boy, was I right! He loved it! He can sing the alphabet, but still can't tell you which letter is which out of order. He does know that he is two and that his name starts with "P" though.

I am two.

PUSH!!!

Here are some pictures of Evan's delivery. What a precious little guy! Meredith is other woman in the pictures. She is a good friend from church and a nurse at the PICU at Vande's Children's hospital so she made the perfect labor coach. I had all back labor with Evan, so I don't know what I would have done had she not been there rubbing my back through contractions while I waited for my epidural! Thank you Meredith!

So tiny.

Exhausted and in AWE

Shadow

As the weather is warming up on different days, Parker and I have been going on nature walks. I let him pick up acorns, pinecones, leaves, sticks, rocks or whatever else we can find. Anyway, last week on one of our walks Parker noticed his shadow for the first time. He said, " Hi sadow" (pronounced sad doe)and waved at his shadow. Then bent down to try and kiss his shadow. After that he noticed mine and said, "Oh, I will have to give Mommy's sadow sugar." He bent down and tried to kiss mine. He was SO cute!
